The 2025 call for the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program is now open for applications. Applications can be submitted through the TÜBİTAK Management Information System (tybs.tubitak.gov.tr) until 17:30 on November 12, 2025.
Scope of Support
Support is provided for the machinery/equipment, consumables, travel, and service procurement expenses required for research projects prepared by associate and undergraduate students. Congress/conference attendance, publications and patents, accommodation, or daily allowances (food and beverages) cannot be included in the 2209 project support budget.
Support Amount and Payment Terms
Research projects are supported for a maximum of 12 months. Support recipients must complete their projects within one year of the announcement of the support decision on the TÜBİTAK website.
The maximum support amount is 9,000 TL.
The IBAN number entered in the online application must belong to the student who is the project leader.
Students and advisors are not paid per diem or daily allowance.
Accommodation expenses are not included in the support scope.
Who Can Apply?
Application Requirements
Applicants must be pursuing an associate's or undergraduate degree*.
The project must be under the guidance of an academic advisor**.
They must not have participated in more than one application in the same semester and/or in a 2209-A or 2209-B project with ongoing support in previous semesters.
They must not have received support from TÜBİTAK for the same project before.
Students may apply to the program individually or as a team. The project director and academic advisor are jointly and severally responsible to TÜBİTAK for all applications. A maximum of four project partners, in addition to the project director, may participate in a project.
An academic advisor may participate in a maximum of five projects during the same semester.
The project title must be determined using clear and understandable scientific language that reflects the purpose and content of the research.
All documents submitted as part of the application, including the project title and project proposal, must not promote any institution, organization, company, commercial product, or brand. Furthermore: No discriminatory, exclusionary, or offensive language should be used based on language, religion, race, sect, nationality, color, gender, political views, philosophical beliefs, national or social origin, birth, or economic status.
* Open Education and Preparatory Class students cannot participate in the project as project managers or project partners.
** The academic advisor must have a current YÖK registration.
